Our hosting provider made changes to their mail platform overnight. Your email is still working normally — nothing is down — but to keep it that way, the server settings in your email app need updating.
What to look for
Open your email account settings and find the incoming and outgoing mail server. If either one shows a name made up of letters and numbers — something like s829.lon1 — it needs changing.
What to change it to
Both servers should be set to mail. followed by your own domain name. Your domain is the part that comes after the @ in your email address. So if your email is [email protected], your mail server becomes mail.innuvo.co.uk.
Set this for both the incoming and the outgoing server, on every device you pick up email on — phone, tablet, laptop and desktop.
Please do this as soon as you can. Once the old server names are retired, any device still using them will stop sending and receiving email.
Not sure where to find these settings, or would rather we sorted it for you? Give us a ring on 07427 414851 or email [email protected] and we'll talk you through it.
