8 weeks til Christmas and then its straight into the new year. Before you know it, February Half Term will be here.
Now is the time to look at your website, what can be improved in terms of your image and what can help you drive forward in 2019.
We recently completed a couple of “post-summer” website design makeovers for clients that run seasonal businesses ready for the new year, when they can put their new plan into action. Is it time you did yours too?
We have jotted down a few handy tips in the run up to the festive season to help you decide on what needs to be done, but what we suggest doing for your website, your business and your marketing strategies.
E-commerce? Use the festive season to create a buzz
It’s not all doom and gloom for small retailers. In fact, small retailers are becoming more and more popular for holiday shoppers as they look to keep things local and support local small businesses.
With that in mind, go the extra mile when it comes to the festive season. Offer gift wrapping, offer discount codes, run competitions and giveaways and get active on Social Media. If you don’t, you’re missing out BIG TIME.
Create a “Guide For Christmas”
Make it easy for people to buy. Group your Christmas products into areas in your shop/website and allow people to buy easily. People are more likely to buy more than one Christmas item if there are more than one available. Sounds simple? It really is.
Keep them updated. If you are lengthening hours to give people more time to shop – shout about it!
Reward your workers
If you have a shop, remember your staff! They will be the face of your brand/shop this festive season, reward them for their work. Even if it’s a day off, a free product, an extra hour in bed or some extra pay, Christmas is all about giving – so remember those that really help during this busy time.
Change logos, branding, images and all that you can think of to really put a festive spin on your assets. It all helps when trying to create a festive buzz – and it shouldn’t be left out.
Moving onto the new year, and maybe that is when its time to think about a website redesign or a product update? Websites should not always be static. They should change, update, re-invent themselves and generally look to improve.
If you need a new website or help with your existing one, then we can help design you a new one, manage your existing one or help with some SEO – all right here!
